abstract
objective:diabetes mellitus is a common metabolic disorder that is one of the important factors in the etiology of injuries oxidant know the purpose the aim of the present study, was the effect of swimming training with arbutin on total oxidant status (tos) and total antioxidant status(tas) the kidney tissue of alloxan-induced diabetic rats.methods: for this purpose, 42 male wistar rats with an average weight of 195 to 220 g were randomly divided into 6 groups(7 rats per group) of control, diabetic, arbutin, diabetic-arbutin, diabetic -swimming training and diabetic - combinatorial. swimming training protocol consisted of 5 day/week for 6 weeks and 5-36 min/day. diabetes was induced whit alloxan (90 mg/k g, intraperitoneally, ip) in rats and arbutin (50 mg/kg, subcutaneously) was administered for 5 days/week. the rats were killed 48 h after the last treatments and kidney tos and tas levels were evaluated. a one-way analysis of variance was used to data analysis.results: six weeks of supplementation with arbutin, swimming training and combination of swimming training and arbutin were associated with an significant decrease in tos (p

Effect of Regular Aerobic Training and Arbutin on Cardiac Total Oxidant and Antioxidant Status in Alloxan-Induced Diabetic Rat
Abstract Background and Objective: Diabetes mellitus is associated with cardiomyopathic changes, can be mediated by an oxidative stress. We aimed to study the effects of regular aerobic training and arbutin supplementation on total oxidant status (TOS) and total antioxidant (TAS) status in the cardiac tissue of diabetic rats. Material and Methods: fourty-two male Wistar rats with an aver...

full textThe effect of dietary bovine colostrum supplementation on serum malondialdehyde levels and antioxidant activity in alloxan-induced diabetic rats
Due to the range of its constituents, colostrum has been considered as a supplement for various diverse purposes. This study was conducted to examine the effect of supplementary bovine colostrum on serum malondialdehyde (MDA), antioxidant activity (AOA) and glucose in a diabetic rodent model. Sixty male Wistar rats were divided into 10 groups of six rats each for 40 days as follows: non-diabeti...

15 صفحه اولThe Effect of Resistance Training and Endothelial Stem Cell Injection on Skeletal Muscle Oxidant and Antioxidant Status in STZ-Induced Diabetic Male Rats
Background: Because insulin therapy cannot properly control the progression of diabetes and its complications, other alternative therapies may be desirable. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of resistance training and endothelial stem cell injection on skeletal muscle oxidant and antioxidant status in STZ-induced diabetic male rats. Method: In this experimental study, 36 male...
